In the last step, remove the Ophcrack LiveCD disk and restart your Acer laptop by pressing the power button. Remember, this free tool will only work if your Acer laptop has Windows 7/Vista/XP. You can’t recover a password if your laptop has Windows 10.
Part 2: Reset Acer Laptop Password on Windows 7 with Password Reset Disk
Reset Password with Pre-Created Password Reset Disk
This method will work if you have already created a password reset disk from your Acer laptop. But if you haven’t created it, you can create a password reset disk by using the following steps:

When you enter the wrong details, you’ll see the following error.

When you click on reset password and enter your password, you’ll see Password Reset Wizard. Here, you only need to click on Next to continue.

While creating the reset disk, you must have used a disk. Here you need to select that disk and move to the next step.
