How to Change Password on Windows 7 Easily and Quickly

Part 2. Change Windows 7 Password on Activated Windows 7

Since administrator account has the most privileges, you can only change it a password if you know the account password, while the administrator can change other user's password from an administrative account. 1. Change Administrat account password on Windows 7

Step 1: First, you need to be log into the administrative account and then open Control panel.

Step 4: At the next screen, click on "Change your password" and then enter your current password.

Step 5: Next, you will have to enter the new password, first in the "New password" field and then in the "Confirm new password" field.

This will change your administrative account password on Windows 7.

2. Change Local user account password on Windows 7

To change the local user account password, you will need to login to the local user account and then follow the same steps given above to change the password. Though, you can also change other user's password from the administrative account. To do this, follow the below steps -

Step 1: Go to User Account window following the above steps i.e. Start > Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts.

Step 2: Next, click on "Manage another account" link and select the local user account whose password you want to change.

Step 4: Give a password hint if you want and click on "Change password" button to save the changes.
